The History of El Paso Country Music Club   

The El Paso is organised by Bernard Forward, who appreciates the help and patronage received from regulars / visitors.  From time to time, we are requested by schools / councils etc to assist them at fund raising by presenting demonstrations etc.

Entertainment

We are very much a do as you please gathering, that is sit and listen or get up and dance (conventional, Western couple dancing, hoe down or line dance, its up to you). 

We provide a varied range of Country & Western music, ranging from Ballads, Cajun, Classic Country, Modern etc, a pattern to suit all tastes.

We are very fortunate in having our own resident dance teacher (‘Luscious Linda’ – assisted by Cliff) in attendance most Thursdays.  Tuition takes place prior to the first artiste session (7.30 pm - 8.30 pm) and also plays music during the interval; Linda teaches line and western partner dances for beginners and the intermediate dancers;   only country music is played and this ranges from the current country charts to the golden oldies, western swing etc.

Atmosphere 

The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, and newcomers soon feel very much at home, due to the smiles and hellos received as they enter. 

Dress Code  

It is very much a dress as you please affair; a large percentage turning up in country gear varying from range cowboys (boots, spurs, hat, guns etc), blue’s & grey’s, Jeans & a check shirt, modern dress, ladies dressing modern or old country.
